monologue 2019:
It takes a strong man to admit his mistakes. It takes a strong woman to stand without limitations. Remember the one that got away? When life was slow. When life was agreeable. When life was good. That was my life. From the moment morning visited me, I remember the rise of my smile as it creeps across my face. I leaf through the tree of memories. I leaf through the tree that carries the branches of time passing; the roots of yesterday, today and tomorrow. I smile again as I remember a morning sun’s beam as its light journeyed my tired limbs. That was the life I remember. It was perfect. And yet the past always seems better when shared with someone else. We look back on nostalgic feelings of euphoria as we attempt to stay positive while masking the loss of your other half. In my attempts to try, I’ve come to a point in my life where I just don’t care about living a life less my better half. I stop searching for light leading my path to positive reaffirmations. And yet, in the same breath, I don’t want to die.
